Q: Can I hire a permanent skip?

A: Yes, we can offer permanent skip hire. However, we will need to change the skip over every 2 weeks. If you are interested in ordering a permanent skip please contact us.

Q: What items are not allowed to go into the skip?

A: You must abstain yourself from putting any asbestos containing materials, chemicals or any other hazardous materials that are capable of damaging the environment. Similarly, skip bin users must also refrain from putting car tires, batteries, paints, bottles and food wastes.

Q: Can I load asbestos into the skip?

A: No. please contact us to arrange for a special hazardous waste skip for asbestos.

Q: How long can I hire the skip for?

A: We can hire a skip from 1 day to 14 days. If you want to keep it longer please discuss it with our friendly team.

Q: How full can I fill the skip?

A: You can only fill to the top. No waste can be over-flowing. If they are too full it becomes dangerous and illegal to transport.

Q: Do I need a council permit.

A: You will require a council permit if you put the skip on public land or a nature strip. If you don’t get a permit you can be slapped with a fine. We can help you get a permit if required.

Q: Do I need to be present on pick-up or delivery day?

A: No. As long as we have access o the drop off location you don’t need to be there.

Q: How much does a skip cost?

A: The cost of the will depend on the size you choose. Prices start from $220. To know the exact cost, give us a call.

Q: How can I estimate what size skip I need?

A: The size you choose will depend on the quantity of waste you are looking to dispose. You will find information on different-sized bins and their holding capacity on our Home page.

Q: Do you recycle waste?

A: Yes, we recycle whatever waste we can. Things that cannot be recycled are sent to landfill sites. Visit Planet Ark’s Recycling Near You website for more information.

Q: Can I place dirt, concrete and bricks in a skip?

A: Yes, you can fill your skip with dirt, concrete and bricks.

Q: How fast is delivery?

A: We usually deliver a bin within 24 hours of the booking. If you need a skip fast just let us know.

Q: What if I’m not finished by pick-up day?

A: If you need extra time please let us know 24 hours in advance.

Q: Do you provide no obligation free quotes?
